My sister paid for me to jump off a cliff in Utah for my 40th birthday!

We arrived in Put-In-Bay, Ohio on Wednesday July 2, 2025 just as the sun was preparing to set. There is a giant monument on the island called Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument and it symbolizes the long-lasting peace between Great Britain, the United States, and Canada after the War of 1812. After an overnight stop in Pennsylvania, we continued on in the morning and made it as far as Lorain, Ohio that night.  We anchored right inside the harbor with a lovely view of the Lorain Harbor Lighthouse. We found it funny that the river there where we had anchored was named the Black River because that is the name of the main river back in our hometown. We enjoyed an incredible sunset that evening and as dusk fell upon us, the lighthouse illuminated and starting changing

My sister, Karly, drove from Michigan to Buffalo, NY, parked her car at the Amtrak station there, then took a train to Rochester, where we met her on the boat.
